MyJAVList does not produce, film, photograph, or create any visual depiction of actual sexually explicit conduct. We operate exclusively as a metadata aggregation and reference service: we catalog publicly available film titles, film codes, cover images, release dates, and descriptive information about third-party adult productions. Because MyJAVList is not a "primary producer" or "secondary producer" as defined under 18 U.S.C. § 2257(h), and does not itself create, produce, or digitize any depiction of actual sexually explicit conduct, MyJAVList qualifies for exemption under 18 U.S.C. § 2257(h)(2)(B)(ii) and 28 C.F.R. § 75.1 et seq.
All films, images, and productions referenced within our metadata catalog were created by independent third-party studios and producers. Those original producers are solely responsible for creating, obtaining, and maintaining all records required under 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 2257A, including proof that every performer depicted was at least 18 years of age at the time of production. MyJAVList has no role in, affiliation with, or control over the production of the referenced content and does not maintain performer records itself.
MyJAVList only references productions distributed by established, licensed adult studios that are themselves required to comply with applicable age-verification and record-keeping laws in their country of production. Any content, listing, or reference that is found to depict a minor, or for which valid age-verification records cannot be produced by the original studio, will be immediately removed from our catalog upon notice.
As MyJAVList does not produce sexually explicit visual content, no Custodian of Records designation is required for this website under federal law.
